Where it stands

The project was unanimously approved by the Clark County Zoning Commission on June 17, 2026 (NVBEX; Route Fifty).

LAS 19 is 56,800 sf, 37 feet tall, on 9 acres at 7220 Edmond Street, with Westwood Professional Services as civil engineer (NVBEX; US Data Center Projects). It uses a closed-loop cooling system consuming roughly 1,000 gallons per day, a figure Switch used to answer water-use objections (Route Fifty). On July 8, 2026 Clark County Commissioners signalled a potential moratorium on new data centres (Las Vegas Sun).

Approvals and public record

Clark County Zoning Commission approval was granted June 17, 2026. Landscaping waivers were withdrawn and a Public Works pedestrian condition was attached (NVBEX). The case numbers are not listed in the sources we have.

What is not known

Neither the construction cost nor the power capacity of LAS 19 has been disclosed, and no general contractor or architect is named. It is not public whether a county data-centre freeze would reach an already-approved project.

Why it matters

This is a small building with outsized policy weight: it was approved three weeks before county commissioners raised the idea of freezing new data centres, so it marks the boundary of what was entitled before that discussion began. The closed-loop cooling figure is also the number other applicants in the valley are now measured against.
