Where it stands

The multiyear renovation continues. On March 4, 2026 the resort announced Lusso Lounge, a new third-floor meeting retreat designed by Woogmaster Studio, for opening in Q4 2026 (The Venetian Resort).

The LVCVA bulletin lists $188M for the convention and expo center line and a Q4 2026 completion (LVCVA), which sits inside a reported $1.5B property-wide investment under Apollo Global Management ownership; Phase 1 of the convention centre renovation was unveiled in August 2024 (CDC Gaming). The two figures cover different scopes and should not be blended.

What is not known

The total renovated square footage of the convention centre programme has not been published, so the $188M line cannot be read against an area. No general contractor is named, and as a private interior renovation no public approval actions or case numbers appear in the sources we have.

Why it matters

The Venetian holds one of the largest privately owned convention footprints in the city, and how it spends $188M on meeting space is a direct competitive signal to the publicly funded halls a mile away. The next stage being a private planner lounge rather than added hall area tells convention-side contractors where the work is going.
