Where it stands

On August 25, 2026 Clark County approved 19 additional stations, bringing the entitled total to 123 (Teslarati). The Sahara Las Vegas station opened August 6, 2026, with a Paradise Road entrance operating 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (FOX5 Vegas).

The first City of Las Vegas building permit was issued January 28, 2026, opening the downtown expansion, and a 2-mile line from the Convention Center to north of Tropicana was under construction and set to open in 2026 (Las Vegas Review-Journal). Of the 123 entitled stations, roughly 11 are open, and only about 4 of more than 10 tunnel miles are in operation (Teslarati).

Approvals and public record

What is not known

No total capital cost or per-station cost for the network has been disclosed (The Boring Company). Two sets of scope figures also conflict: the company's own page cites 8 stations, more than 3 million passengers and 68 miles approved, while later reporting cites about 11 stations open, more than 10 tunnel miles with roughly 4 operational, and more than 4 million passengers (Teslarati). We print both and do not reconcile them.

The Fontainebleau station opening and the start of airport rides in December are recorded without a year in the source we have, and the case numbers for the county station approvals are not listed.

Why it matters

The gap between 123 entitled stations and roughly 11 open ones is the practical measure of the network: entitlement volume is far ahead of built capacity, and only about 4 tunnel miles carry passengers. For resort operators, each new station is a negotiated connection into private property, which is why the approval count moves faster than the tunnelling.
