What is not known
How much of the $200M has been raised has not been disclosed. Sources also disagree on the size of the city land grant: the council action was reported as 1.5 acres (Double Scoop) while later coverage describes 2 acres (Review-Journal / Neon). We print both and do not reconcile them.
No general contractor is named, and the case number for the September 2024 council action is not listed in the sources we have.
Why it matters
Symphony Park has been assembled parcel by parcel for two decades, and this is the first cultural building committed to it with a named design team and city land. For contractors, a 2027 groundbreaking on a 60,000 sf museum with an undisclosed fundraising position is a schedule that depends on money that has not been publicly counted.
