Where it stands

The project is complete and open. The LVCVA bulletin records it as opened January 6, 2026, in time for CES, at a cost of $600M funded by room tax (LVCVA). As of a May 11, 2026 review it had been open nearly six months (KNPR).

The work brought the North, Central and South halls up to the standard of the West Hall (Las Vegas Review-Journal). In 2026 it won AGC Nevada's Public Building Project of the Year (over $30M) as the "Las Vegas Convention District Phase Three Renovation Project," with the builder listed as Hunt-PENTA (AGC Nevada).

What is not known

The renovated square footage is not published, so the $600M cannot be expressed per square foot, and whether the renovation has measurably increased bookings has not been quantified publicly (KNPR).

There is also a naming discrepancy on the builder: the award listing names Hunt-PENTA (AGC Nevada), while our own earlier record said AECOM Hunt-PENTA. We print both and do not reconcile them.

Why it matters

This is the largest room-tax funded building project in the valley's convention infrastructure, and it is now delivered, which shifts the question from construction to utilisation. The official title of the award entry calls it a renovation rather than an expansion, which is the accurate way for the trades to describe the scope.
